Mr. Ashwani Kumar


BACKGROUND
Co-Promoter and Managing Director (MD).
Hands-on BFSI industry experience of over 19 years, especially in the domains of banking & microfinance with a focus on setting & upscaling support & control functions, while working with Public Sector Bank, NBFC-MFI, Small Finance Bank & Core-Investment HoldCo.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE
At Utkarsh Group entities (HO, Varanasi), he led critical functions in its transformational journey (MFI to banking licence to IPO) of Utkarsh Micro Finance Pvt. Ltd. (UMFPL) to Utkarsh Small Finance Bank Ltd. (USFBL). Initially he led the Internal Audit vertical with concurrent charges of Risk, Compliance, Secretarial, Credit & Client Interaction & then was Head of Strategy, Corporate Communication, Training and Recruitment verticals. Lastly, he was the Deputy CFO at USFBL, and then the Managing Director & CEO at Utkarsh CoreInvest Ltd. (UCL). Besides, he has also been on the Board of Utkarsh Welfare Foundation for over a decade.
At NABARD Financial Services Ltd. (NABFINS) (HO, Bangalore), as Assistant General Manager, during its transformation journey, he played a pivotal role in setting up and expanding the Finance & Accounts vertical along with the Risk, Audit, Inspection, Secretarial, Regulatory Compliances, HR & General Administration verticals; while being a Business Partner Empanelment Committee Member.
At Canara Bank (HO, Bangalore) as Manager (Scale II), he led the Bank’s 1st Batch of Agri Business Marketing Managers & Officers, concurrently heading the Priority Small Loan Monitoring Division and being part of the initial team to set up the first Microfinance Division of the Bank, which subsequently grew to be a separate ‘Financial Inclusion Wing’ at the Head Office. He also played a pivot role for the Capacity Building initiatives in the Priority & Hi-Tech Agriculture domains, fostering career of the Agriculture Managers & Officers at Bank’s College.
He started his career as a ‘Research Associate’ at Locus Research and Consultants Pvt. Ltd. (HO, New Delhi), primarily engaged in the Projects for Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India and other few other international agencies.
An IRMA Graduate, CFA (ICFAI, India), B.Com (Hons.) (Delhi University), CAIIB & various Diplomas & Certifications (IIBF), UGC Net (Mgmt.)
He has been on Editorial Board of institutional magazines and invited at various industry and academic workshops & conferences, as Guest Speaker, Jury/Panel Member. His award wining presentation & article on Channel Financing was published in RBI’s Annual Book.



Mr. Indrajit Kumar


BACKGROUND
Co-Promoter and Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Diversified experience of over 18 years in Microfinance, Banking, Business Development & Project Management with a demonstrated performance in expanding operations and embracing technological innovations. A result-driven professional with a proven track record in setting up operations from the ground and successfully scaling them up.

PRIOR EXPERIENCE
At Save Microfinance Ltd., as the National Business Head, he played a pivotal role in significant enhancement of the company's performance (within a short span of <2 years), notably increasing the geographical outreach from 50 to 240 branches; the Business Portfolio from ₹200 crore to ₹1,200+ crore; PAT from ₹0.5 crore to ₹17+ crore; spearheaded technological transformation & established tech-enabled backend ops.
At Satin Creditcare Network Ltd., as the Business Head (Senior Vice President), he managed a large portfolio ensuring excellent portfolio quality. He expanded the reach by setting-up 7 new Regional Offices & over 100 branches, spearheaded the award wining disbursement of over 1 lakh sanitation loans in Bihar in collaboration with water.org.
At NABARD Financial Services Ltd. (NABFINS) as Assistant General Manager (Operations), he was responsible for designing business strategy, BC empanelment, monitoring existing portfolios, and formulating loan policies. He led the Second Level Institutions (SLI) vertical, wherein he developed SOPs for financing entities viz. Producer Companies, FPOs, MPCS & SHG Federations. Under his leadership, the SLI Loan portfolio grew by more than 100% for 2 consecutive years.
At the World Bank’s BKFRP (Bihar Kosi Flood Recovery Project: Micro-Housing), as the Chief Programme Coordinator, he was overseeing the planning and supervision of the project covering over 30,000 families in three (03) districts.
At Canara Bank, Circle Office, Chennai, he was the Top Performing Agri-Business Manager, contributing significantly to the Circle’s Agricultural Finance and Priority Sector lending achievements.
An Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) Graduate, Diplomas & Certifications from IIBF), and UGC Net (Management) Certified.
Regularly participates in industry events. Writer or articles in The Financial Express , Outlook Money and RBI’s Annual Book.
